The President signed the Social Code (the “Code”) regulating social rights of citizens.
In details
The Code provides for state regulation of social security, social workers and social rights, as well as compulsory social insurance and pension contributions. The Code provides for:
- simplification of the procedures for confirming the status of large family to support motherhood and childhood.
- measures on development of the labor market and employment promotion.
- increase of the amounts of social payments to assist low-income families with improving their material welfare.
- requirement on accreditation of entities, rendering social services.
- simplification of procedures for confirmation of disability for social protection of disabled persons.
- digital family social card, which would allow the families to receive electronic notifications on their eligibility for social payments.
The Code will come into force on 1 July 2023.
