Kazakhstan introduces new restrictions due to Omicron spread

In detail: 

Due to Omicron coronavirus variant spread, Kazakhstan introduces restrictions starting from December 3: 

  • Entry to Kazakhstan will be restricted for foreigners from the countries listed below:

Botswana

Eswatini

Hong Kong

Lesotho

Madagascar 

Malawi 

Mozambique 

Namibia

South Africa 

Tanzania 

Zimbabwe

  • Individuals arriving from countries* where “Omicron strain” variant has been detected, should follow the requirements below: 
    • take PCR test, regardless of vaccination status 
    • self-isolate for 7 days, regardless of PCR test results. 
  • Direct flights with Egypt will be suspended.

*Current list of countries, where “omicron strain” was detected:
Israel, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Australia, Canada.
