Jamaica 2017/2018 Budget

This is our preliminary analysis of the 2017/18 Budget Presentation presented in Parliament on 9 March 2017 by the Honourable Audley Shaw C.D. M.P., Minister of Finance & the Public Service. We also attach a listing of the Motor Vehicle Fee Increases announced.

Over the next two weeks, further presentations on the 2017/18 Budget will be made by the Opposition Spokesperson on Finance, the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition as well as a concluding presentation by Minister Shaw.

We hope you find the attached Newsletter informative. You should note however that some of the detail to support the announcements made is not yet available and therefore we may need to clarify some of these measures in due course. Furthermore the contents of the Newsletter is based on information that is available at the time of writing.
