Human Capital Manager/Senior Manager

Job description

Our human capital professionals are accountable for establishing and maintaining the processes and systems which enable the Firm to fully leverage the skills and talents of all our people.  The human capital team help the local offices in driving the firm's people strategy, helping to create a unique people experience for each individual, supporting our firm wide values and working with the core competencies that measure and drive individual and firm wide success in the marketplace.  Human capital supports our people in reaching their full market value which then sets PwC apart as the distinctive Firm.


  • Partner with the learning & development team, other HC teams, and the business to identify staff development needs in order to achieve business and people/succession plan goals.
  • Provide input to regional HC teams on strategic priorities and implementation approach; identify and share best practices, contribute to continuous improvement of processes, policies, etc.
  • Partner with the recruitment team to execute on-campus and experienced hiring strategies for assigned business unit(s), including screening candidates and facilitating office visits/partner interviews, finalising offers, etc.
  • Oversee and facilitate annual performance management, people focused surveys, total rewards (compensation), and recognition (e.g. service awards) programmes and processes for assigned business unit(s).


  • Demonstrated proficiency in PwC core competencies with particular emphasis on building and sustaining relationships, change agility (flexibility), innovation, quality, and managing projects and budgets.
  • Strategic understanding of human resources and team and advancement with increased responsibilities.


  • Undergraduate degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a partnership or professional services firm.

Transfer Pricing Specialist

PwC Jamaica has an opportunity for a Transfer Pricing Specialist to join our Tax practice in a senior capacity. In this role, you will join a strong international network of dedicated transfer pricing specialists with advanced training in economics, accounting, law and project management, ready to work with you.


  • Drive the development of a local and regional transfer pricing practice.
  • Apply statistical tools to establish the sensitivity of intercompany pricing strategies to relevant macro and micro-economic factors; write industry research studies; develop transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assist with pricing arrangements between related business entities and negotiation of advance pricing agreements (APAs).
  • Identify and address client needs: build solid relationships with clients.

Capabilities/ Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of the economic analyses and resolution of complex global tax and finance issues faced by multinational corporations; including restructuring, divestitures, valuations and intercompany transactions.
  • Thorough knowledge of corporate tax including international tax research, compliance and consulting.


  • At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, accounting or other related field.
  • One or more of the following credentials is required: MBA, MS/MA, PhD, CPA, JD, or enrolled Agent certification/license.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in transfer pricing.

Required skills/experience:


  • Possess at least ACCA or CPA qualification and have a strong academic background;
  • At least three years’ experience as an Audit Manager;
  • Have an analytical mind and project execution experience;
  • Demonstrates sound organizational and people management skills;
  • Experience in writing proposals and reports, and confidently delivering presentations;
  • Excellent supervisory skills with a passion in unlocking hidden potentials; and
  • Dependable and has a high level of initiative.

Senior Associates:

  • Possess at least ACCA or CPA qualification and have a strong academic background.
  • Have working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Have a sound grasp of International Standards on Auditing.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Have at least two years supervisory experience in external auditing.

Risk Assurance – Senior Associate

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to strengthen and expand our Risk Assurance (Internal Audit) Department.

Required skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CIA or CPA or ACCA (at least one is required);
  • Minimum of three years’ experience at the supervisory level;
  • Strong technical skills in MS Office, ACL and knowledge of other specific applications as required;
  • Assist with the management of a portfolio of clients;
  • Plan and coordinate the execution of internal audit engagements with the support of an Engagement Manager;
  • Review, analyse and identify weaknesses/deficiencies within clients’ internal control environment with an aim to improve or add value to clients internal controls;
  • Manage and maintain electronic working papers for internal audit engagements; and
  • Lead, supervise and coach team members on an internal audit engagement with a view to maintain quality, being efficient and effective, and delivering the clients’ deliverables within a timely manner.
