Spring has brought quite a few staff changes and reinforcements to PwC Slovenia. Primož Kovačič joined the company as a Partner in Assurance and Mojca Bartol Lesar, Director of Tax and Legal Services until now, was promoted to become a Partner on 1 July 2021.
Primož Kovačič graduated from the School of Economics and Business (BA in Business and Finance) and from Coventry University in the UK (BA in Business and Economics). He is a Certified Auditor licensed with the ACCA and the Slovenian Institute of Auditors, with over 15 years of experience working within a Big 4.
Throughout his career, Primož has been focusing on auditing in the insurance, banking and brokerage sectors, bringing to PwC, the important experience necessary for the further development of our financial practice and assurance services. His excellent knowledge of the Slovenian audit profession and local market will assist in developing our wider financial services not only in Slovenia, but across the SEE.
Having been active in tax consultancy for nearly two decades, Mojca Bartol Lesar is a Master in Business Studies and joined PwC in 2019. She will focus on further developing the tax and legal practice in Slovenia and will also be part of the SEE tax and legal leadership team and, as such, contribute to the development and growth of PwC’s SEE practice.
Mojca is a Qualified Tax Expert (Slovenian Institute of Auditors) with specialisation in indirect taxation. She is a member of the council for taxation at the Slovenian Institute of Auditors, as well as habilitated lecturer at the School of Economics and Business, the University of Ljubljana. Furthermore, she is a member of the examination board for in taxation at the Ministry of Justice of Slovenia.
In addition to regularly lecturing at accounting and tax conferences in Slovenia and abroad, she contributes professional and scientific articles on taxation in various magazines and publications and is co-author of university textbook on public finance.
In mid-June, PwC will begin spreading the word about its new strategic vision called The New Equation on a global scale.
