Updating of Registration Information Record of Taxpayers Who Will Enroll in the Bureau’s Online Registration and Update System

RMC No. 122-2022 has been issued to advise all taxpayers to update their registration records with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) by enrolling in an Online Registration and Update System (ORUS).

The ORUS to be launched by the BIR will allow taxpayers to register, update, and transact registration-related transactions online.

All taxpayers who intend to transact with the BIR through the ORUS, once available, and those who are currently transacting manually for their registration-related transactions, shall update their registration records, such as e-mail address and contact information, using the S1905 – Registration Update Sheet (RUS). A copy of the RUS is attached in the Circular as Annex A.

The RUS is available at the Client Support Section (CSS) of the Revenue District Office (RDO) and the BIR’s official website under the Advisories Section. It may be submitted via e-mail by the taxpayer to the RDO where it is registered by referring to the email address of the RDO under Annex B of the Circular.

The designated e-mail address should be the taxpayer’s official e-mail address and shall be used by the Bureau in serving BIR orders, notices, letters, and other communications.

Registered taxpayers shall update their Head Office registration before the registration of their branches. In the case of employees, they shall be notified of this requirement by their employers.

You may access the full version of this Circular and Annexes through the BIR website.
