PwC Philippines celebrated the first anniversary of its Learning and Experience Hub on 30 July at the PUP BPO Center, Pureza Street, Sta. Mesa, Manila.
Since opening on 17 July 2024, the Learning an Experience Hub has served as a dynamic space for workforce development and community engagement. Designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, it empowers students to gain practical experience in a collaborative environment while pursuing their studies.
During the celebration, PwC Philippines Chairman and Senior Partner Roderick Danao reminded the interns that the hub is not just a place for learning—it’s a space to grow, dream and build a future they can be proud of. He reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to helping students strengthen their skills and prepare for long-term success.
Business Services Partner Jimmy Disquetado shared his excitement for what lies ahead. With 150 to 180 interns already onboarded in FY25, he noted that the planned expansion to Makati in FY26 is set to double the facility’s reach and impact.
Human Capital, Inclusion and Diversity Leader Pamela Gregorio described the hub as a safe space to learn through both achievements and challenges. She encouraged interns to embrace the Evolved PwC Professional Framework and to keep growing beyond their comfort zones.
The event also featured an open forum, where PwC leaders answered questions from interns about starting their careers, building confidence and making the most of internship experiences.
Also present to celebrate this key milestone were PwC Philippines Markets Executive Director Dennis Bautista, Human Capital Senior Manager Emerald Ann David, Business Operations Services Director Ryan Ray Reyes and Senior Manager Ma. Christine Ong, Internal Firm Services Director Jane Saliendra, Learning and Experience Hub Senior Manager Alvin Mendoza and Manager Von Marselle Atacador, Learning and Development Manager Rowan Grace Abiquibil-Jose, and Human Capital Manager Nikola Dela Cruz.
Representatives from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) were also in attendance, including College of Accountancy Dean Julieta Fonte, Department of Management Accounting Chairperson Marietta M. Doquenia, On-the-Job Training Coordinator Catherine Sotto and Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – PUP Chapter Adviser Mark Anecito Perlas.
