On 14 June 2025, PwC Philippines’ International Tax Services (ITS) Group planted 100 young bougainvillea plants along the Sorsogon City Coastal Road.

The activity aims to contribute to the enhancement of the coastal road’s landscape and support the provincial government's long-term environmental goals. Known for being resilient and low-maintenance, the bougainvillea plants are anticipated to boost biodiversity, improve marine-adjacent habitats and strengthen the region’s capacity to withstand the impacts of climate change.

ITS Triumvirate Leader Eileen Flor Abalos, ITS Manager Bon Yannicka Chua and ITS Senior Associate Zhaira Diamond Fortes led the group, which included 28 Senior Managers, Assistant Managers, Senior Associates and Associates.

The initiative was carried out in partnership with the Provincial Government of Sorsogon through the support of Mr. Bobby Guigantone, Head of the Sorsogon Provincial Tourism Office, and Mr. Julius Edma, Program Chair of the provincial government's Kagandahan Program. The Kagandahan Program is a provincial undertaking that promotes beautification, environmental sustainability and civic involvement in public spaces.

This activity demonstrates PwC’s commitment to weaving social and environmental responsibility into our professional and team-building endeavors, creating a lasting positive impact on our local communities.
