On 19 June 2025, PwC Philippines hosted the Global AI Council Philippines’ Advisors’ Meeting. The event, held in PwC Philippines’ Makati office, featured compelling presentations from the Global AI Council Philippines and key government agencies.
The presenters included Dr. Franz de Leon, Director of the Department of Science and Technology–Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST–ASTI), and Dr. Erika Fille Legara, Managing Director and Chief AI & Data Officer at the Center for AI Research (CAIR). Updates on significant AI developments in the Philippines for 2025 and 2026 were shared by Anton Mauricio, Trustee of the Global AI Council Philippines. Executive Director Catz Jalandoni then provided updates on the organization’s recent achievements.
Afterwards, Unni Pillai, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Head of Technology – Financial Services, and Mary Jade Roxas-Divinagracia, PwC Philippines Deals and Corporate Finance Managing Partner, co-presented the thought leadership set to be released by the Global AI Council Philippines this year. Trustee Atty. Mark Gorriceta then moderated an open forum, providing a platform for participants to address important questions on the dynamic AI landscape.
The meeting concluded with a networking session over snacks and refreshments, allowing participants to forge connections in a more casual setting.
