In collaboration with the Panglao Municipal Tourism Group, represented by Irene Cloma, Head of the Marketing and Promotions Division, the team planted 80 mangrove seedlings along the province’s shorelines. This effort supports long-term biodiversity, enhances marine habitats and strengthens the area’s resilience to climate change.
To complement the mangrove planting activity, the team donated three waste bins to the municipality, which will be strategically installed in accessible, high-traffic areas to encourage proper waste disposal. The initiative aims to foster a shared sense of environmental responsibility and promote sustainable waste management practices within the community.
Leading the initiatives were PwC Philippines Broader Assurance Services and Energy, Utilities & Resources (EUR) Leader Pocholo Domondon; Assurance and Environmental, Social & Governance Partner Corina Molina; and Directors Cecile Marie De Leon and Red Tamayor.
The activity was part of the firm's "Tourism with a Purpose" program, which encourages PwC professionals to integrate corporate sustainability into their summer outings.
