PwC Philippines’ Assurance – Cebu Office cleaned up the shores of Batson Twin Beach at Brgy. Santiago, San Francisco, Camotes Island during their summer outing held on 19 June 2025.
This initiative aimed to alleviate the impact of improper waste disposal and bring back the beauty of the local shores. The team filled bags of trash gathered from the beach’s shoreline, giving a glimpse into what the local beaches could look like if environmental stewardship is put into practice.
Additionally, the team gifted the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council of Brgy. Santiago with a bucket of cleaning supplies, in hopes of sustaining the initiative and aiding future clean-up projects.
Leading the initiative were PwC Assurance Partner Rose Dale Machitar-Ando; Assurance Director Jason James Autencio; Assurance Manager Kristian Paul Armecin; and the team’s Summer Outing Committee. The project was organized in coordination with SK Chairperson Pearl Ann Bano. One of the local teachers, Dannes Estrera, also came to assist the team.
The activity was part of the firm's "Tourism with a Purpose" program, which encourages PwC professionals to integrate corporate sustainability into their summer outings.
