The Proudly Brunei Business Awards (PBBA), initiated by the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), celebrates the accomplishments of Brunei-based enterprises and companies that have demonstrated extraordinary quality and performance in their respective industries. The awards provide local businesses a platform for networking and collaboration, while also elevating the profile and success of Brunei’s business community both nationally and internationally.
This year’s ceremony, held on 12 May at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Tarindak D’polo in Jerudong, Brunei Darussalam, followed the theme “Collaborate for Growth, Innovate for Success.” Gathering industry leaders, dignitaries and guests, the event was also graced by the Guest of Honor, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at The Prime Minister’s Office, Minister of Finance and Economy II and Chairman of the BEDB.
The evening celebrated seven exemplary winners. Four were recognized under the Open Award Category—which recognizes excellence in business growth, youth entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurship and startups—while three were awarded under the Priority Cluster Award Category, which highlights excellence in food, tourism and services.
