Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines proudly participated in the Philippine Society for Talent Development’s (PSTD) 50th National Convention, held on 27–29 August 2025 at the Bai Hotel Cebu.
Under the theme “ABLAZE: Illuminating the Talent Development Pathways,” the convention featured insightful sessions and discussions on emerging trends and critical topics within the talent development field. The event gathered over 400 talent development and human resources (HR) professionals from across the Philippines.
On the first day, Isla Lipana & Co. Technology and Workforce Senior Manager Rinah Rivero, who currently serves as the 2025 PSTD President, delivered her President’s Report. She provided an in-depth overview of PSTD’s key milestones, strategic initiatives and industry impact over the past year, underscoring the organization’s dedication to driving innovation in talent development.
On the second day, Isla Lipana & Co. Chairman Emeritus Atty. Alex Cabrera presented an engaging talk titled “Building the Blueprint for Economic Growth and Nation-Building: PSTD’s Role in Defining Talent Development Standards and Industry Benchmarks.” In his presentation, Alex described the current landscape of the Philippine employee culture and engagement. Alex also highlighted how the PSTD’s Talent Development Framework establishes industry benchmarks that enable more inclusive workplace practices and support nation-building efforts.
