Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines is proud to have supported the recent three-day audit methodology workshop hosted by the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP) Southern Mindanao Chapter. The workshop was held on 27–29 August at the Arcadia Event Center in Davao City.
Vergel Pabillon, Jr., Assurance Partner at Isla Lipana & Co., facilitated the workshop’s opening sessions, delivering a comprehensive refresher on the Quality Assurance Review (QAR) process and an introduction to the audit methodology. He also provided an in-depth exploration of the pre-engagement and audit planning procedures, setting the foundation for the subsequent workshop activities.
Meanwhile, the second and third days of the workshop featured sessions led by Aldous Sarmiento, Assurance Director at Isla Lipana & Co. and Co-Chair of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Quality Assurance Review Committee. Aldous’ sessions specifically concentrated on audit programs for inventories; property, plant, and equipment (PPE); and cost of sales, as well as a thorough examination of the final stages of the audit process.
