Isla Lipana & Co. supports ACPAPP’s 25th Annual National Convention

Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines warmly congratulates the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP) on its recent 25th Annual National Convention, held on 2–3 October 2025 at the Makati Shangri-La, Manila. 

Marking the 45th founding anniversary of ACPAPP, this event featured keynote speeches, dynamic forums, and valuable networking opportunities—all centered on how CPAs are actively driving the future of the accounting profession with innovation, vision, and purpose. Nearly 750 delegates attended the event. 

On the first day of the convention, Ma. Lois Gregorio-Abad, Isla Lipana & Co. Assurance Partner and ACPAPP National President, gave a motivating welcome address. Atty. Francis Edralin Lim, Chairman of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), delivered the keynote address. Hon. Dr. Noe G. Quiñanola, Chairman of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Accountancy, and Mr. Gerry Sanvictores, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) National President, delivered special messages. Mark Almodovar, Isla Lipana & Co. Risk Services Executive Director, contributed valuable insights during the first technical session, highlighting the powerful impact of digital transformation on the accounting industry.  

The second day featured engaging sessions on building cyber-resilient organizations, navigating evolving tax regulations, and other timely topics. Ace Ver Vargas, Isla Lipana & Co. Assurance Senior Manager, served as the host. Aldous Sarmiento, Isla Lipana & Co. Assurance Director, ACPAPP Academy Faculty Member, and ACPAPP Professional Development Committee Member, provided a comprehensive summary of the day's discussions, capping off another day of meaningful learning and collaboration. Lois presented the results of ACPAPP’s long-range planning workshop, sharing details of the organization’s upcoming projects and key initiatives. She also led the closing plenary alongside Atty. Ma. Gracia Casals-Diaz, Resolutions Chairperson of the Convention. The event officially concluded with the closing remarks of Cesar Faustino Ravalo Jr., EVP and Liaison Director of the Convention. 

Members of the PRC Board of Accountancy graced the convention, led by Hon. Dr. Quiñanola. Also present at the event were Isla Lipana & Co.
