Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines is honored to support the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP) for the Spotlight on Public Practice Day of the 2025 Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Accountancy Week Celebration (AWC). This was held on 15 July 2025 at the Century Park Hotel in Malate, Manila.
The program opened with a welcome message from Isla Lipana & Co. Assurance Partner Ma. Lois G. Abad, in her capacity as National President of the Association of CPAs in Public Practice (ACPAPP). Lois emphasized the exceptional learning and networking prospects offered by the event, urging attendees to engage actively and make the most of the experiences.
Isla Lipana & Co. Assurance Partner Vergel Pabillon, Jr. co-facilitated a session on the latest auditing and financial reporting standards for less complex entities. During his presentation, Vergel underscored the necessity of remaining attentive to changes in the auditing standards to ensure compliance. He also took part in an open forum, where he responded to key questions from the audience and shared valuable insights.
Following this, Isla Lipana & Co. Assurance Partner Justo Jesus Namuco also took the stage to introduce the resource speaker for and moderate the first technical session in the afternoon. JJ is a member of the ACPAPP AWC Committee.
Isla Lipana & Co.
