Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines proudly participated in the 2025 Annual Conference of the ISACA Manila Chapter, held on 7–8 August 2025 at the Hennan Resort Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol.
The ISACA Manila Chapter is dedicated to keeping its members informed of the latest IT governance, control and assurance issues. This year’s conference, which was themed “Strengthening Digital Trust: Embedding Innovation, Resilience and Sustainability,” was attended by IT governance professionals from both the public and private sectors.
On the second day of the conference, Isla Lipana & Co. Risk Services Senior Manager Portia Edillor led a thought-provoking session titled “Security by Strategy: Elevating Cyber Maturity to Ensure Business Continuity and Competitive Advantage.” Portia emphasized that cybersecurity is not just about technology—it’s about achieving strategic alignment with the company’s business goals to enable growth and trust.
Risk Services Partner Maria Rosell Gomez and Director Eugene Jerome Tan discussed the firm’s risk services. Meanwhile, Risk Services Executive Director Mark Almodovar and Digital Audit Director Michelle Meneses—both members of the ISACA Manila Board of Trustees for 2025—moderated separate sessions on cyber hygiene and IT risk management, respectively.
Also at the conference were Digital Audit Partner Jannick Reyes, Senior Manager Ivan Berenguer, and Managers Nicole Maranan and Emily Jean Gatus. The team actively took part in the event, sharing their expertise and representing the firm's commitment to helping clients navigate today’s evolving IT and cybersecurity risk landscape.
