Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines proudly co-presented the inaugural The Manila Times Sustainability Champions Awards, held on 23 September 2025 at Conrad Manila.
Under the theme “Envisioning Our Green Future,” the awards celebrated the outstanding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts and circular economy initiatives of 15 organizations across diverse sectors. Among these companies, one was honored as the Grand Sustainability Champion for 2025.
The ceremony opened with remarks from Anna Marie Ang-Thompson, CEO of The Manila Times, followed by a welcome message from Blanca Mercado, President and COO of The Manila Times. Corina Molina, Sustainability Assurance Leader at Isla Lipana & Co. and Chair of the Panel of Judges, delivered the keynote address. She outlined the judging criteria and process, carefully designed by The Manila Times to ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation of all nominees.
Anna, Blanca, and Corina were later joined by the other judges, including Allan Cao, Markets and Assurance Executive Director at Isla Lipana & Co.; Ludwig Federigan, Executive Director of the Young Environmental Forum; Griselda Santos, Regional Director for Southeast Asia at Water.org; Felino Palafox Jr., Founder and Managing Partner of Palafox Associates; Ida Tiongson, President and CEO of Opal Portfolio Investments Inc.; Santiago Dumlao, Secretary General of the Association of Credit Rating Agencies in Asia; and Glenn Banaguas, Chairman and President of ASEAN Science Diplomats.
