Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines kicked off its FY2026 Tax Management Training Program (MTP) on 2 October 2025, reinforcing the firm's commitment to the growth and leadership development of its people.
Tax Learning & Development Partner Chiara Gutierrez opened the program, underscoring it as both a recognition of potential and a vital step in each participant’s leadership journey. She emphasized the need for future leaders to think more strategically, collaborate deeply, and lead with purpose in an evolving environment.
Tax Manager Sheena Juarez and Senior Managers Marvin Manuel, Mary Rose Lara, and Christian Grimaldo imparted valuable perspectives to the participants. They discussed timely topics such as transitioning roles, overcoming challenges, managing stakeholders, driving efficiency, and strengthening mental resilience and self-leadership.
Tax Managing Partner Carlos Carado II shared a candid view of leadership, highlighting accountability, sound judgment, excellence, and empathy.
The workshop immersed participants in real client scenarios, fostering critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving. Carlos and Chiara, along with Tax Partners Roselle Caraig, Joel Navarro, and Aimee dela Cruz, and Directors Samantha Oreta and Jonas Yap facilitated the workshop.
In his closing remarks. Tax Partner Lawrence Biscocho urged the participants to stay engaged to develop the skills, mindset, and perspective needed to lead with clarity, confidence, and collaboration amid evolving demands.
