In its continued commitment for several years now, Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines again served as the audit partner of the 22nd Inter Collegiate Finance Competition, presented by the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) through its Junior FINEX Committee (JFINEX) in partnership with JPMorgan Chase & Co.
PwC Philippines Deals and Corporate Finance Managing Partner and FINEX Member Mary Jade T. Roxas-Divinagracia was with the audit team that oversaw the Final Round on 25 November at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), Bonifacio Global City. It was a battle among the top 20 schools that emerged from the elimination round.
The audit team members led by Risk Assurance Partner Rosell S. Gomez and Director Michelle Meneses were Christina Wong, Ennamae Lerum, Joyce Anne Desembrana, Vee Manguilimotan, Stephanie Borromeo and Kylle Louisse Espeleta from Makati office; Marby Jover and Chacel dela Cruz from Cebu office; and Justin Louis Yap and Jessa Mae Lacaran from the Davao office.
For the 28 October elimination round, students from a total of 53 schools from all over the country competed simultaneously in six different venues — Pampanga, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Tower in Taguig City for NCR.
Now in its 22nd year, the annual ICFC is hailed by many business schools as the country's toughest and most prestigious finance quiz bowl, covering questions in corporate finance, investments, portfolio management, financial accounting reporting, economics, and business ethics.
