2021 startup: An overview of the Philippine startup ecosystem shared to Japanese executives

PwC Philippines, with PwC Singapore and PwC Japan, conducted the webinar "2021 startup: An overview of the Philippine startup ecosystem" on 4 March for Japanese executives who are interested in Philippine startups. The event highlighted booming sectors such as healthcare, technology and infrastructure. 

Karl Pacolor, Chief of the Innovation and Collaboration Division at the Department Of Trade And Industry, delivered the keynote speech. For the panel discussion, resource persons from venture capital firms talked about the characteristics and attractiveness of the local startup industry. In addition, Akiko Toyoda, M&A partner at PwC Japanグループ (PwC Advisory LLC) shared practical insights that Japanese companies should be aware of when investing in startups.
