PwC Philippines welcomes two new partners

Alexander B. Cabrera, Chairman and Senior Partner of Isla Lipana & Co., the Philippine member firm of the global PwC network, is pleased to announce the admission of Consulting Partner Roberto C. Bassig and Tax Partner Geraldine E. Longa to the partnership with effect from 1 July 2017.

Roberto Bassig, our new Consulting Partner, has over 20 years of professional experience in Technology and Risk Consulting. His areas of expertise and focus include helping organizations moderdize and embrace digital shift and transformation, giving advice on the right technology assets and models to consider and implement, redesigning enterprise processes in preparation for technology transformation, software licensing strategy and management, technology governance and risk management, cybersecurity, and forensic services.

Robbie left the firm and entered one of the largest domestic ICT organizations as Chief Audit Executive. He then rejoined the firm in 2012. He holds these international qualifications: Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls. He attended various leadership and technical programs locally and abroad and has completed the Management Development Program of the Asian Institute of Management. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Another CPA is Geraldine Longa, who is admitted as a Tax Partner. SHe has more than 16 years of solid experience in providing individual tax compliance and consultancy services. She has worked across a broad range of clients, industry sectors and geographies.

Her core experience includes Philippine employment tax, cross-border personal tax consulting and compliance, social security planning, rewards and renumeration, and assignment cost management practice and policy. She also has relevant experience in various stages of employee equity plan projects, ranging from plan conceptualization, design, development of plan regulations, regulatory compliance, to implementation. Geraldine graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Sto. Tomas, Manila with Latin honors.
