Zaldy D. Aguirre

Zaldy has extensive experience in auditing and review of internal control system, as well as management of audit jobs and special engagements of companies in a wide variety of business lines including those in banking and capital markets, insurance, the not-for-profit organizations, retirement plans, real estate, chemical/pharmaceutical, shipping and related industries, lending investors, sugar milling companies and other manufacturing activities.

His technical competence comes with hands-on knowledge and application of IFRS and regulatory requirements, serving as subject matter expert on financial instruments. He lectures on these topics in seminars designed for both clients’ in-house training and for the general public.

Zaldy graduated Cum Laude from Colegio San Agustin in Bacolod City with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree. In 1998, he placed 18th in the Certified Public Accountant licensure examination. In 2009, he completed the Management Development Program at the Asian Institute of Management.

He has attended various PwC-sponsored International Financial Reporting Standards training programs conducted in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. He has also participated in PwC Global quality reviews conducted in the Australian and UK firms.
