2024 PwC Corporate Challenge

Each year we have close to a 1,000 individuals from the business community that join us for the five-kilometre run or walk for charity - the PwC Corporate Challenge.

The event aims to raise K100,000 or more for local charities in the areas of health, education, women and children. These are Life PNG Care, iCare4U PNG, Sir Buri Kidu Heart Institute, Ginigoada Foundation and the WeCARe! Foundation.

This year's event will be on Sunday, 13 October from 6am at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium and our theme is 'Lives change, when we step up'.

We look forward to having the business commuity join us on the day.

By bringing in as many corporates in together, we aim to raise as much funds as possible. Over the years, we've raised over K100,000 per challenge with last year's event bringing in over K170,000. This year with your help, we aim to raise even more.

The five-kilometre track starts at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium. From there, runners pace across Champion Parade, straight towards Stanley Esplanade, and across the Paga Hill Ring road. After passing the Ring road, it’s a straight run towards the TAFE College roundabout to begin the climb up Hunter Street, and that’s where the climb tests the strength of most runners. Once Hunter Street is conquered, it’s a race down past the Downtown Hot Rooster and back onto Champions Parade, heading straight to the finish line at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium.

The track has five checkpoints stationed throughout. Here below are the checkpoints:

  1. Champion parade (before fire station)
  2. Stanley Esplanade (before TWL logistics)
  3. Bramell Street (along Ring Road)
  4. Bramell Street (before APEC Haus)
  5. Ela Beach roundabout (in front of TAFE College)

The five-kilometre fun run or walk will start and finish at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium, with various prizes presented for the:

  • leading individual participants,

  • winning team,

  • largest corporate team,

  • best dressed,

  • most creative teams.

Encouragement awards for junior participants and lucky draw prizes will also be presented on the day.
