Thanassis has led numerous complex transactions, serving as buy- or sell-side financial advisor across the financial services, public and private sectors. He has extensive experience in valuations, fairness opinions, and financial due diligence across a wide range of sectors in public and private sectors. He is also highly focused on distressed transactions within business restructuring services.

In the NPL’s area, Thanassis has led some of the most transformational transactions in the Greek market, including servicing carve-outs and several large-scale portfolio sales. As an Advisory Financial Services Partner, he has significant experience delivering large-scale projects in the financial services sector, with a focus on Regulations, NPL’s restructuring, Risk management, Performance improvement, and Compliance projects.

During the Greek financial and banking crisis, Thanassis played a pivotal role in leading all major operational, business, and financial transformations, as well as risk and regulatory projects. His work included the design and implementation of collection and workout management strategies, loan books review, stress testing, and recapitalization planning of financial institutions, in support of the Greek banking system’s restructuring plan.

Thanassis holds a BSc in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from the University of Piraeus and an MBA from the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration (ALBA).
