From Lean Production to Industry 4.o

On 30 August 2017, PwC Academy jointly with BPI Group and Beewatec GmbH (Germany) successfully delivered the workshop "From Lean Production to Industry 4.0" involving over 50 participants.
In addition, KROK Business School and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) were engaged as the workshop co-partners.

The participants were able to learn:
- Basic techniques used by businesses to apply the Lean Production methods, specifically the potential unleashed by the Pipe Racking System;
- How straightforward engineering solutions can be developed using structures made of elementary raw materials;
- Pervasive solutions as part of the Industry 4.0 framework: self-driving trolleys and visual management systems.
The workshop was based on case studies and specific products that may be used for solutions under 5S, Kanban, Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), in-plant logistics, Visual communications and many more.
The participants were able to learn about state-of-the-art engineering solutions and scientific discoveries (computerisation, robot automation) applied by industry leaders.
The participants had an unrivalled opportunity to know about advantages and flexibility of offered solutions, to ask questions and get answers in the first person and to be practically involved in the site preparation.
