18 July 2016 PwC Academy held the next Heads of Internal Audit Forum!
The main topic for discussion was «Areas of financial monitoring relevant to internal auditors. FATCA compliance requirements in Ukraine».
As part of this forum was Anna Nevmerzhytska, Manager, Tax and Legal Services and Anna Lypska, Assistant Manager, Tax and Legal Services
The rapidly changing landscape changes goals and objectives set for Internal Audit. As one example, amendments to Ukrainian anti-money laundering legislation have come into effect. The new regulations call for personal responsibility of heads of Internal Audit for inadequate control over compliance with financial monitoring rules.
Our forum aimed to facilitate conversations around key areas of financial monitoring relevant to a head of Internal Audit in a financial services organisation. Additionally we talked about the role of FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) in the process and compliance requirements in Ukraine.
The event was attended by over 20 representatives of the internal audit leaders representing different areas of business. Participants took an active part in the discussion group, where they discussed and shared their practical experience.
