PwC Academy. Professional Development Programme for Kernel

Kernel sees professional development of its people as a strategic priority. PwC Academy was engaged, on a competitive basis, to assist Kernel with a practical seminar ‘Finance for Non-Finance Professionals’ custom-tailored with a specific focus on the link between Business and Finance.

From July 2015 through February 2016, PwC Academy conducted training seminars for Kernel middle management and key employees. 

Training curriculum:

• Financial and management accounting
• Profit and loss account
• Statement of financial position
• Statement of cash flows
• Performance management
• Budgeting and forecasting

Upon completion of the seminar, the participants:

• got an insight into key areas of financial management;
• learned what techniques are applied in analysing the financial information to be used for decision-making purposes;
• developed skills how to apply theoretical knowledge practically.

The seminar gave the participants an opportunity to gain knowledge of the elements of financial statements and practical financial analysis skills. In addition, the seminar directed focus of attention on key financials of the company and understanding how critical it is to ensure effective cooperation between all business units and the finance function.
