Tax Alert No. 22 [Bank Bulletin No. 2021-04 dated 2 March 2021]

Acceptance of Tax Payments for All Taxpayers Within the Area of Jurisdiction of Revenue Region No. 2-CAR

The Commissioner of Internal Revenue has issued Bank Bulletin No. 2021-04 to prescribe the following guidelines to be followed by all Authorized Agent Banks (AABs) within Revenue Region No. 2-CAR:

1. Accept all tax payments from taxpayers registered under the Revenue District Offices¹ (RDO) within the revenue region, even out-of-district returns; and
2. Accept check payments payable to the Bureau of Internal Revenue from any taxpayer registered under the said revenue region even without the name of the receiving AAB branch indicated in the check.

These guidelines shall take effect immediately and until the strict protocol in the area has been lifted.
