Imelda dela Vega Mangundaya

Imelda Mangundaya is an Assurance Partner of PwC Philippines since 2007. She has 25 years of industry experience on retail and manufacturing, business process outsourcing and financial services, particularly serving insurance companies.

Her experience includes due diligence reviews, initial public offerings (IPOs), and capital markets engagements.

Her expert knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), International Standards on Auditing, Philippine Auditing Standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance strengthens her qualifications in assurance work covering multinational companies, and listed companies locally and overseas.

She regularly conducts risk management, methodology and technical briefings for the local assurance practice.

Imelda concurrently serves as the firm’s Assurance Risk Management partner. She previously led the local firm’s Learning and Development space. She was admitted to the partnership in July 2007.

She maintains active membership in Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Imelda currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors in the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice for the years 2019 - 2020.

Imelda graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Central Colleges of the Philippines. She also attended the PwC Asia Leadership Programme in INSEAD Singapore and completed the Certificate Course for Strategic Business Economics Programme in the University of Asia & the Pacific.

To further strengthen her international exposure, she attended PwC’s International Experience Program in PwC US’ San Jose, California office, as well as the Learning and Education Program in PwC Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur office.
