Nelson is the firm’s Chief Risk Officer and Methodology Leader, with 25 years of experience in financial auditing across consumer and industrial products, technology, services (including business process outsourcing), and real estate industries. His expertise spans International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) audits for large multinational clients.
He strengthened his global perspective through a two-year secondment with PwC UK and by attending advanced technical and leadership programs across Asia and the US. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and graduate of De La Salle University and the Asian Institute of Management’s (AIM) Management Development Program, Nelson actively contributes to the industry through Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP) memberships and by facilitating trainings on accounting, auditing, and SOX compliance.
