We invite you to apply for the following opportunity based in Port Moresby.

Joining our Advisory Services team, the Partnership Lead will be project-based and seconded on a full-time basis to the COVID-19 Vaccine Taskforce (Taskforce) to support the COVID-19 vaccine delivery in Papua New Guinea.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include the following:

Partnership engagement

  • Organising and conducting fortnightly virtual learning sessions 
  • Engaging with Provincial Health Authorities (PHA) to ensure overall partnership coordination is effective and organised for vaccine rollout 
  • Ensuring partner mapping is finalised for each province.

Lead partner coordination

  • Organising and conducting regular lead partner meetings 
  • Presenting lead partner perspectives on steering committee
  • Identifying opportunities to link PHAs to other immunisation/ vaccine rollout initiatives
  • Assisting lead partners on support requirements and resolving issues with PHAs 
  • Assisting lead partners on timely submission of reports to the Taskforce Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team and on meeting their performance targets.

Lead Partner Grant Management

  • Coordinating with the Taskforce Fiduciary agent on all aspects of the execution of Lead Partner Grant Mechanism and providing overall programmatic oversight to lead partners
  • Ensuring compliance with all aspects of donor programmatic and financial reporting, while working with Taskforce Fiduciary agent, lead partners and other key members of the Taskforce team plan and COVID-19 Vaccine Taskforce Grants
  • Providing lead partner and other key members of problem-solving support
  • Ensuring all Taskforce Grant Programmatic Reporting requirements are met according to the M&E reporting schedule provided.

 

You must at a minimum possess the following:

  • at least six years’ experience in program manager role - experience in private and health sector is an advantage
  • good understanding of PNG context and in managing government and development partner relations
  • strong verbal and written skills and an effective communicator
  • able to work on flexible hours and beyond the call of duty
  • experience in managing sensitive, time critical information for internal and public facing audiences
  • experience in project management at the national and provincial levels.
