PwC is exclusive Knowledge Partner to the APEC CEO Summit 2018

29/05/18

PwC is proud to have been named as the Knowledge Partner to the APEC CEO Summit 2018 which will be held from 15 to 17 November in Port Moresby. PwC is taking on this exclusive role for the ninth year.

As the Knowledge Partner, PwC will support the APEC CEO Summit Host Committee by providing insights that help stimulate and enrich the dialogue between business and government sectors.

“Being the Knowledge Partner allows PwC to share our wide ranging expertise, bring nine-year history working with APEC and this year give a PNG perspective to the dialogues, stimulating more locally relevant conversations. This helps us realise our purpose of building trust in society and solving important problems,” says PwC PNG Territory Senior Partner Jonathan Seeto.

Isikeli R. Taureka, APEC CEO Summit 2018 Chairman, comments, “The Summit plays an important role in amplifying key issues that could open up opportunities for PNG and unlock our potential. With PwC’s profound expertise and global connectivity, we look forward to creating a meaningful Summit for business leaders in PNG and across the region.”

PwC’s key initiatives include providing subject matter experts to APEC meetings, as well as conducting the APEC CEO Survey, an annual survey that explores what’s on the mind of CEOs and industry leaders across the 21 APEC economies.

The APEC CEO Survey was commenced in May and is an opportunity for the business community to help shape public-private dialogue on key issues around trade and investment. In alignment with this year’s Summit theme of ‘Inclusion in the age of disruption: Charting a common future,’ the survey takes a closer look at what businesses are doing to drive inclusive growth and the digital economy. The Survey findings will be officially launched during the Summit in November.

“PwC is excited to be part of the APEC CEO Summit 2018 as the Knowledge Partner. Our role provides a great platform not only for our firm, but also for our clients and the wider PNG business community to shape the APEC conversations,” adds Mr Seeto.

PwC is the only professional services network of firms that has partnered with APEC for nine years.
