The number of foreign workers permitted to work in Mongolia in 2026 has been approved by the Government of Mongolia

On October 1, 2025, the Government of Mongolia issued Resolution No. 113, approving the quota for foreign workers permitted to work in Mongolia in 2026. For 2026, the Government impose defined limits on two specific sectors, hile most other sectors remain unrestricted.

2026 Quota of foreign workers

In 2026, for the two specified sectors, which are “public administration, defense activities, and compulsory social protection”, as well as “activities of international organizations and permanent representative offices”, the Government of Mongolia has established clear quotas for foreign workers in 2026. In all other sectors, there are no restrictions on the number of foreign employees that can be hired.
