Programme brief
The rules of businesses are changing. Sustainability is no longer just a nice idea; it is a key driver of business success. As expectations from regulators, investors, customers and communities increase, organisations must move beyond profits and embed sustainability at the core of their operations. What was once perceived as optional is now an essential part of doing business. Increasingly, organisations are expected to consider how their decisions affect people, communities, and governance practices. In response, business leaders are tasked to adopt practical strategies that strengthen resilience, create long-term value, and position their organisations for sustainable growth in an evolving business landscape.
This programme will help break down sustainability in its simplest form and explore the three core pillars of driving sustainable performance - the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. It will highlight the primary value drivers of each pillar, and the relevance of ESG in business operations. The program will also address industry-specific ESG trends and influences, discuss current sustainable practices, and dive into carbon trading and carbon accounting mechanisms that are shaping today’s sustainability agenda.
