The Estonian Auditing Activities Oversight Board (AJN) decided that the quality control of AS PricewaterhouseCoopers has been successfully completed with a GREEN result, meaning that the quality of PwC's audit services meets all the requirements.
"Our activities at PwC are always based on quality and I am very pleased that this was once again confirmed during the quality control," said Lauri Past, PwC Estonia’s partner and Head of the Audit Department.
AJN is a body established under the Auditing Act and tasked with organizing supervision in the public interest and taking measures that create preconditions for the development of auditing activities, achieving high quality of the professional activity of sworn auditors and upholding this result. Members of AJN are appointed by the Minister of Finance for a term of five years.
AJN performs quality control of audit firms auditing public interest entities (listed companies, banks, insurers) at least once every three years.
In Estonia, the quality label of top audit firms has been lowered on two occasions, but PwC’s quality label has always been green.
