Healthcare group Penta Hospitals International acquires elderly  care service provider Südamekodud

Penta Hospitals International, one of Central Europe’s leading providers of healthcare and long-term care services, has acquired 100% of Südamekodud AS, Estonia’s largest provider of elderly care services. 

Both parties intend to expand their business in the Baltics through this transaction. According to Martin Kukk, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Südamekodud, the company’s shareholders reached the understanding that the next stage of development involves expansion into other Baltic countries, for which a strong and long-term partner is required. According to Peter Lednický, CEO of Penta Hospitals International, entering the Estonian market means both expansion into their fourth European Union market and a strategic step in the field of elderly care, which they consider one of the most important challenges across Europe, including Central Europe and the Baltics.
