Orkla Eesti AS sells its Põltsamaa factory and brand to Svensky Kaubanduse AS. Alongside the transaction, both parties have established cooperation agreements to facilitate ongoing strategic partnership, with Orkla intending to source a range of products from the Põltsamaa food factory going forward.
According to the sales agreement, production at the Põltsamaa factory will continue and all existing employment contracts will be taken over. Additionally, the Põltsamaa factory will remain a supplier to Orkla. According to Sven Voites, head of Svensky Kaubanduse, the goal is to develop both production and the brand in the long term, relying on local expertise and the existing team.
Orkla Eesti is a leading domestic food industry company, representing well-known brands on the market such as Felix, Taffel, and Pai, along with the Kalev production unit as part of its operations.
Svensky Kaubandus is an Estonian company with more than 30 years of experience in wholesale, manufacturing, and logistics of food and household goods. The company represents several well-known brands on the Estonian market, including S. Pellegrino, Marmiton, Zott, Fitaki, Käserei Champignon, Bosto, and others.
