Agrone aquires Latvia's largest dairy company, Rīgas piena kombināts

Falber Investments OÜ, the parent company of Estonia’s largest agricultural group Agrone, is acquiring Latvia’s largest dairy company, Rīgas piena kombināts, including its subsidiary AS Valmieras piens.
According to Raul Jeets, sole owner and CEO of Agrone, Rīgas piena kombināts holds a strong market position in several dairy product categories, and both companies see great potential to enhance their knowledge and experience by joining forces.
Agrone is the largest domestic capital-based agricultural production group in Estonia, focusing on dairy, grain, beef, and egg production.

Rīgas piena kombināts together with its subsidiary is one of Latvia’s leading dairy companies, producing a wide range of dairy products and developing brands well known in Latvia and the Baltics, such as Kārums, Lakto, RASA, Dzintars, Limbažu piens, Valmiera, Rasēns and Mājas.
PwC Estonia and PwC Latvija advised Agrone, supporting the client in buy-side M&A as well as financial and tax due diligence matters. The M&A team included Raul Ruubel, Sass Karemäe, and Mark Kostin supported by Gerds Ivuskans and Aleksandrs Sverdlovs. Financial due diligence was carried out by Teet Tender, Allar Karu, Jere Robert Hirvi, Andres Petjärv, and Mārtiņš Bojārs. Tax advisory services were provided by Vita Sakne, Viktorija Volta, and Aleksandrs Afanasjevs.
