What is the Assessment Centre?

Assessment Centre (AC)

The Assessment Centre (AC) is a selection method thanks to which we can get to know you not only as a candidate on paper, but also as a person. It is an opportunity for you to show us who you really are. You will try out situations that show how you are a team player and how you solve problems. In audit, we’re not looking for soloists, but ensemble players.

What awaits you before the AC?

First, we will send you three online tests, which will verify your analytical, numerical and English knowledge. If you pass these tests, we will invite you to the AC. And here is where the real adventure begins.

How does the AC work?

PHASE 1: Group activity

You will jointly handle various tasks in a group. It’s important for us to see you collaborate – if you are able to help others or if you rather go it alone. Politeness and helpfulness are the foundation.

PHASE 2: Independent work

Here you show us what you have in you:

  • Case study: You will be given a practical assignment that will test your accounting knowledge. If you are well versed in financial statements like profit-and-loss statements and balance sheets, you have nothing to worry about. You don’t have to be an expert in everything; it’s enough to think logically and find connections.
  • Role play: You will role play a situation with a client. We are interested in how you communicate and whether you can keep your cool and maintain your professionalism.

PHASE 3: Individual interview

If you successfully get through the first two phases, you will come to the final interview. Here we will ask you in detail about your motivation and abilities, and how you imagine working at PwC.

How to succeed in the AC?

  • Naturalness is key: Really. Don’t pretend; we’ll see through it.

  • Collaborate, but don’t forget about yourself: Help others, but also show what you can do.

  • Don’t underestimate preparation: Review financial statements, including depreciations.

  • Don’t be afraid to make mistakes: We’re not looking for perfect people. What’s important are attitude, effort and logical thinking.
