Corporate Services Manager

Our Corporate Services practice is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our team at the Manager level.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing corporate secretarial duties with respect to a portfolio of domestic, regional and international clients within the Barbados and wider Caribbean corporate services practice;
  • Advising on corporate legislation, practice and procedure;
  • Reporting to regulatory authorities;
  • Attending to incorporation, amalgamation, registration, licensing, continuation and dissolution proceedings;
  • Producing shareholder, amalgamation and other corporate agreements and related documents;
  • Managing, mentoring and training more junior corporate services professionals;
  • Supporting the partners in identifying and pursuing potential new business opportunities; and
  • Carrying out or supervising due diligence, quality and risk management procedures.
    The Manager will report to the Partner and Senior Managers in the Corporate Services Division. A compensation package commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications will be offered to the successful candidate.

Required skills / experience:

  • An attorney called to the Bar in Barbados or the holder of a specialist designation in corporate secretarial practice from Canada or the United Kingdom
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant post qualification experience;
  • Experience with corporate legislation, practice and procedure;
  • Experience in the international financial services sector would be an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; and
  • Experience with due diligence and AML procedures and reviews would also be considered an asset.
