PricewaterhouseCoopers opened an office in the British Virgin Islands in June 2007 as part of a joint venture between PwC's East Caribbean and Cayman Islands Firms.
The joint venture initially focuses on PwC's advisory services: investigations, forensic accounting, insolvency, restructuring, solvent wind up of companies, schemes of arrangement and business continuity. The office is led by Nicholas Carter who has 22 years experience of crisis management assignments including receiverships, liquidations, bankruptcies, cross-border restructuring and shareholder disputes. He is licensed to Act as an Insolvency Practitioner under the British Virgin Islands Insolvency Act, 2003.
Under the Insolvency Act, 2003 licensed insolvency practitioners are eligible to accept appointments as provisional liquidator, liquidator (solvent and insolvent) administrative receiver, interim supervisor and supervisor.
