Africa Energy Review 2021

As the world accelerates the drive to achieve net zero by mid century, increasing pressure is being put on cutting the supply side of fossil fuels in addition to demand driven shifts towards renewable user case applications.

Africa however, still has abundant untapped fossil fuel reserves and high reliance on the exploitation of such reserves for foreign investment and income.

Prompted by global climate change policy, investors are however rapidly turning their backs on new fossil fuel investments.
