Training for Yazaki Ukraine

Yazaki Ukraine LLC creates a solid foundation for further successful development of its employees through the continuing learning and development process.

On 5-6 September 2017, PwC Academy delivered the Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma seminar for employees of Yazaki Ukraine LLC.

Lean Six Sigma is the business process and performance improvement methodology.

The seminar was focused on:

• Learning the Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology and providing the insight into its development basis, tools, approaches and impact on the overall business performance, and
• Exploring DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control.

During the seminar the participants were able to:

• Gain knowledge of the processes and resources based on the global best practices in management and continuous improvement, and of basic operation excellence principles as well as obtain skills in effective management of people;
• Gain understanding of how to allocate resources efficiently and identify losses, and what steps to take to eliminate them;
• Consider the Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology principles;

• Explore the 7 wastes, value-adding and non-value adding activities;
• Learn process mapping techniques and approaches to building up a current map of value creation flow;
• Address the Lean Manufacturing project “Identifying and Eliminating Wastes”;
• Gain understanding of the DMAIC project and its phases.

Business games were used to consolidate knowledge gained at the seminar.
