Enabling rapid response in the face of natural disasters
When disaster strikes, the need for food and water can become critical. In these moments, World Central Kitchen (WCK) steps in to provide fresh, hot meals to those in need. With a grant from the PwC Foundation, WCK's rapid response capabilities are being bolstered, supporting the delivery of an estimated 100,000+ meals to reach disaster-impacted communities. This helps to alleviate hunger and can also bring comfort and dignity to those facing an incredibly challenging moment in their life.
Additionally, by collaborating with local restaurants and suppliers, WCK not only provides critical nourishment but also supports local economies, helping to provide a community-focused approach to disaster relief. Donations from PwC employees, partners and principals have furthered WCK's mission, and PwCers have volunteered with the organization, contributing their time on the ground.
