The transition from military service to civilian life can come with significant challenges. Some Veterans lack a professional network, a resume tailored for civilian careers or the know-how to translate their military skills into the job market.
American Corporate Partners (ACP) is helping change this narrative. With a grant from the PwC Foundation, ACP is providing critical year-long, one-on-one mentorships, assistance in making connections and help building skills and confidence and finding meaningful employment for over 750 participants in its Veterans of Color, Bridge and Active-Duty Military Spouse programs. The Foundation's support helps ACP adapt its programming to meet evolving needs among today's Veterans.
Additionally, PwCers have actively participated as mentors, leveraging their professional skills to support Veterans. To date, more than 130 PwCers have served as mentors for ACP—through an effort that not only honors Veteran service but also helps cultivate a stronger, more inclusive community for all.
The Foundation’s grant is part of its broader Veterans Commitment, developed with the PwC Veterans Affinity Network. The effort has contributed more than $26 million since 2015 to support Veterans and their families as they move from active duty to civilian careers. These investments are expected to impact more than 400,000 Veterans.
