IFRS® Accounting Standards are a set of accounting rules for the financial statements of public companies that are intended to make them consistent, transparent, and easily comparable around the world. Attending the training would allow participants to stay up to date with accounting hot topics, and to learn from the comprehensive case studies and group interactions.
The PwC Namibia Business School will be offering an IFRS Bitesize session with the topic being IAS 7 ‘Statement of Cash Flows’. Specifically, the following core issues will be addressed:
- Definition of cash and cash equivalents and application thereof, with specific focus on money market funds
- Classification into operating, investing and financing activities
- Gross versus net presentation of cash flows
- Common errors in cash flow reporting (including foreign exchange gains/losses)
- Impact of IFRS 18 on the presentation of cash flow statements
