Associate Director, PwC Namibia
Waylon is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Namibia (ICAN). He holds a Bachelor of Accounting Honours degree from Stellenbosch University, where he also completed a one-year academic traineeship, enhancing his technical expertise and co-authoring a scholarly article published in the South African Journal of Higher Education.
Waylon began his career with the firm in 2020 as an audit trainee. In 2021, he earned a place on the ICAN Honours Roll in recognition of his outstanding performance in the Assessment of Professional Competence, the final professional examination for qualifying chartered accountants. He quickly progressed through the ranks, being promoted to Audit Manager in 2022 and Senior Manager in 2023.
Throughout his career, Waylon has developed strong expertise in audit and assurance, working across a wide range of industries with a particular focus on the external audits of large corporate entities. His international experience includes a secondment to PwC’s Philadelphia office in the United States in 2023.
Beyond his client-facing work, Waylon contributes significantly to the firm’s internal initiatives. He serves as a risk management consultant, delivers internal training, and leads IFRS-focused sessions as the principal facilitator at the PwC Business School.
Waylon is deeply passionate about the audit profession, driven by a keen interest in resolving complex technical challenges and a commitment to mentoring and developing future professionals.
