Ritja Hongonekua

Ritja Hongonekua is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Namibia (ICAN). As a recipient of a PwC bursary, Ritja pursued his academic studies in his hometown of Windhoek immediately after completing his secondary education.

He began his professional career with PwC in Windhoek, where he completed his articles in 2022. Following this, Ritja progressed within the firm, being appointed as an Audit Manager in 2022 and subsequently promoted to Audit Senior Manager in 2024.

Over the course of his career, Ritja has gained experience in auditing both private and public sector companies. His client portfolio at PwC spans a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, as well as agriculture. His areas of expertise include statutory audits, other assurance engagements, and non-audit advisory services.

Beyond his client responsibilities, Ritja actively contributes to the development of the accounting profession through his role as a committee member of the ICAN Technical and Finance Committee. He is also deeply committed to mentoring and coaching audit trainees, with a strong passion for developing talent and fostering professional growth. Ritja’s purpose is to influence and unlock the potential of emerging Chartered Accountants.
