Brian Carey is a principal based in San Jose, CA. He leads the US Cleantech Advisory practice and co-leads the Global Renewable Energy Center of Excellence. He has over 20 years of experience leading projects in market entry strategy, deals/M&A, operations, innovation, and sustainability. He has extensive experience providing strategic and operational advice to cleantech clients and helping utilities, Fortune 500 companies, and municipalities evaluate and deploy cleantech solutions. His cleantech clients include solar, wind, energy storage, LED lighting, biofuels, smart grid, and energy solutions companies.

Brian spent 11 years at management consulting firm PRTM prior to its acquisition by PwC in 2011. At PRTM, he led several successful operational transformations at Fortune 500 companies and built PRTM’s global renewables practice. Brian is a graduate of Cornell University with Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He also received an MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
